Mid West Japan Cup 2010/4/17

April 17th 2010, soccer enthusiasts from Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana gathered up in Chicago and had a tournament called “Mid-West Japan Cup” for promoting friendship between those Tri-State’s Japanese community. Brilliant and FC Dontokoi from Michigan, Zipangu from Indiana, Shogun A and Shogun B from Illinois are participated. Since the captain from Shogun was the conceptor of this tournament, the tournament was held at the Odeum Expo in Chicago. It was such a nice opportunity to interchange and play against other state’s Japanese soccer team, so we battled strong to represent Michigan. Even though we did not have enough substitution players, we could manage to score and finally won the tournament! The game results are as follow:

1st Game:   Brilliant 3 vs. 1 FC Dontokoi  Scorer : Ii, Ryo T, Masato     Assist : Hiroki, Ryo T
2nd Game: Brilliant 2 vs. 0 Zipangu       Scorer : Ando, Ii            Assist : Nagao, Ryo N
3rd Game: Brilliant 2 vs. 0 Shogun B     Scorer : Ryo T, Ii
4th Game: Brilliant 3 vs. 0 Shogun A     Scorer : Hiroki, Ii, Ryo N      Assist : Ryo T

We won the tournament unbeaten!! Our senior player, Naoki Ii, scored every game and led us win the tournament, and became the scoring leader of the tournament!
