Brilliant+ is started in 2002, Japan/Korea World Cup year, by a former J-League player Ryo Takahashi and his fellow friend, Takayoshi Ishihara. The very first concept was “Soccer Camp for the Japanese, by the Japanese, of the Japanese” and willing to teach techniques and fun as well as “discipline, respect, and manners”, which are very fundamental factors in Japanese society, through soccer.
Their first work was “Summer Soccer Camp” in 2002. Started off with about 15 boys and girls altogether. The name of Brilliant+ began to spread out by word-of-mouth among Japanese community and increasing the popularity to join the Summer Soccer Camp each year.
